How many times a day do you think about what you can't do instead of what you can do? We are guilty of creating limits for ourselves. We limit ourselves with thoughts like I can't, I'm not smart enough, I'm too old, I'm too young, I'm too poor, My kids won't let me, I'm not talented enough, Nobody like me ever makes it, I can't escape my past, I don't know how to do that and I can't learn how to and so on.
Sadly, we do a good job of planting limiting thoughts in our own minds and the minds of others. Every time, we find the courage to dream about a new goal in life, we knock ourselves back down. We remind ourselves of why we can't successfully reach our goals. We can usually name more reasons why we can't make it instead of why we can do it.
There are also so many discouraging, limiting messages within our culture that we readily absorb within our minds as truth. Just turn on the news, you'll hear messages about how difficult life is, how other people are suffering, how others have "failed", how the economic is slumping, how very few people make it to the top and so on. It isn't very often that we actually hear good news stories about everyday people who are successfully going after their dreams, even in a slumping economy. There are very few true messages of encouragement within our culture.
It is time for change. You owe it to yourself to give yourself more possibilities in life. It is time to begin planting seeds of hope and possibility in the garden of your mind. It is your job to nurture those seeds with daily thoughts of why you can and will succeed in life. It is also your job to get rid of the weeds--negative thoughts lurking within your mind that tell you that you can't be successful. Pull those negative thoughts out of your mind and replace them with affirming thoughts that speak to the possibility of you reaching your goals.
Everything is possible for you in life. It doesn't matter how many times you struggled in past or how many disadvantages that you believe you have working against you. You always have the opportunity to rise above the obstacles and reach your goals. I don't really believe in the idea of some people having a number of disadvantages against them while others don't have any disadvantages. There are no disadvantages. What you think is a disadvantage is really an opportunity in disguise. What you have to do is find a creative way to use what you think are your disadvantages to your advantage. Make everything work for you instead of against you. Don't believe that anything stands in your way permanently from getting what you want. Be willing to create your own path toward your goal. You might have to approach your goal in a way that nobody else has ever done before. A disadvantage is really an opportunity to be a pioneer or trailblazer.
Some of us believe that we can't be successful in life because we don't know how to reach our goals. We don't have a clear idea of what to do, so we assume that we can't ever reach our goal. Wrong! All the answers of how you are going to achieve your goals aren't always known in the beginning. You already have the answers within you about what to do. When the time is right, you will unlock answers. Just believe that what you want is possible and allow the way to getting it to unfold to you.
We must trust that all the answers will be revealed to us as we go on this exciting adventure in life. The answers will come from expected and unexpected places, so we have to be paying attention. As we patiently allow the answers to unfold, we must trust ourselves completely. We must never doubt ourselves. We will know what to do with the answers when they emerge. The answers will emerge from you when your soul believes that you are ready to take the next step. Don't be surprised if you think you are ready sooner than your soul.
Don't ever let anybody talk you out of your dreams. What people say to you are merely their opinions--not facts based on truth. You have a choice in accepting or rejecting someone else's opinions as your truth. Untrue opinions can come from experts and other people in authority positions, but you still have the choice to reject or accept their opinions. These people don't know more than you. These people don't know you, so their opinions may not be true for you unless you accept them as the truth. Nobody knows you better than you know yourself. Nobody can predict what you can do or how your life will unfold. Nobody except you can predict your future. Your future contains endless opportunities for success and happiness. All you have to do is to believe in yourself and have the courage to go after what you want in life. You can learn what you need to know and succeed in the end.
Affirmations: Everything is possible for me. I can do it! I believe in my dreams and myself. The path is clear toward my dreams.
