Change is happening every single second of life, whether we realize it or not. We are changing with each passing moment as new cells are being born and old cells are dying. Change is the natural flow of life where there is constant birth and death of everything in the world. Relationships, jobs, careers, ways of life and everything else must come to an end to make way for something new. Everything has a natural life span, whether we realize it or not. Nothing is really meant to last forever. The moment we allow ourselves to believe that everything should stay the same and never come to an end, then we are resisting change.

We always benefit from change; even though, we experience a loss of something familiar and safe. The problem is that we do not trust life. We are so afraid that we will be left with an empty void. Realize that something new always comes to take the place of whatever has left as long as we do not stop the flow of change. We stop the flow when we try to hold on to whatever is ending in hopes of keeping it alive or when we spend our energy trying to get back what we have lost.

Change is a signal that it is time for your life to expand and open up to a new level. Get ready for more. Get ready to grow into new, exciting and powerful directions. We have to be willing to let go of something in order to grow. We have to make room for growth within our lives through change. Allow yourself to grieve for what is ending, but expect something even better to come into your life.

We are afraid of change because we do not believe that we can really handle whatever comes next after change. We are unsure if we can rise up to the new challenge that goes with being in new, unfamiliar territory. We do not like the uncertainty that comes with change. We do not like feeling completely vulnerable, confused and lost when we lose something that is familiar and step into the unknown. We may be afraid of failing as we try to manage and figure our way through the unknown and uncertainty phase that follows change.

Change will require us to grow since we cannot continue to approach our lives the same way. We have to be willing to step beyond our old familiar ways of thinking and let go of our old familiar routine for living. We have to be willing to dream bigger, think differently and even take bold new risks. We simply cannot do what we used to do and manage change very well. We have to be open to thinking about ourselves and our lives in unlimited ways. The old way just will not be enough any more. For us to truly benefit from all the gifts of change, we must be willing to give more to ourselves and to our lives.

Change always offers more to us than it ever takes away from us. Change may make us feel insecure and uncertain and even powerless at times. Security, certainty and power come from within ourselves rather than from our external life circumstances. Our sense of security and certainty comes from knowing that Life is always supporting us at every turn. We cannot fail or believe that we are without when we truly believe that Life is always supporting us. We can always choose to be secure, even if everything around us is uncertain. We can have faith that everything will work out for our benefit rather than fear the future. The only certainty that we can ever have in life is how we respond to change and that change will always be present. Our certainty comes from trusting that we can handle whatever happens next and believing that we will be better off as a result of change.

Think about how you respond to change. Do you fear and fight it? Do you step back and get in the flow of it by seeing what change has to offer you? The more we fight change, the more we are disconnecting ourselves from its blessings. We are increasing our pain and suffering instead of adding to our joy. Be in the flow and trust that you will benefit more than ever from change. Surrender to change. Get out of the way and allow the one chapter to end. Trust that your new beginning will offer you more, even if the circumstances around you appear bleak at first. Be patient. Trust that you will be taken care of. Allow yourself to learn and grow through the lessons of change. Trust divine timing by knowing that everything is happening as it should. We cannt rush or power our way through change, if we are to receive all that change has to offer.

Affirmations:
I am in the flow of change.
I trust and accept change within my life.
