How much do you trust life? How much do you trust yourself? Whenever we face uncertainty or any difficulty, trust can help us to cope with it better. If you have discovered that you trust life or yourself very little, then it could be time to develop greater trust.
What is trust? Trust is the act of believing that our highest good is always being served, regardless of whatever circumstances we are dealing with. Trust is knowing that we will always be taken care--we will find a way to get whatever we need in life as long as we believe that such a possibility exists. It is knowing steadfast without a doubt that our circumstances and our current situation will work out in a way that supports us, even if the present moment seems dire. Trust asks us not to give into our worse fears, but instead have faith that our circumstances will change for the better without knowing all the details yet. Trust asks us to believe in the unknown.
Trust requires us to have faith in ourselves and the Creator. We may not know or understand exactly how everything is going to work out, but we can learn to trust that everything will work out somehow. It does not matter if other people around us are suffering and struggling. Trust asks us to believe that our experiences do not have to mirror other people's suffering, even if our circumstances are similar. Trust goes beyond what we can see, hear and touch--trust comes from the deepest place within our souls that is beyond our senses.
Trust challenges us to learn how to live our lives on a deeper spiritual level rather than within the limits of our rational minds and senses. We have been taught to apply logic to our lives, but trust asks us to go beyond logic and what seems rational. Trust asks us to believe in the unlimited possibilities of life and be open to all the known and unknown ways that life can work out for us.
To develop greater trust, we have to be open to greater possibilities, even during our most bleakest moments. We have to believe that everything is possible, even if our rational minds cannot figure out the specific details of how we are going work through difficulty. We have to believe that we always have many options and opportunities coming to us, even if our circumstances appear to be limited. The Creator would never keep us bound to a hopeless situation without a way out. Just because we cannot clearly see and understand the path leading out of a difficult circumstance does not mean its existence is not real or possible.
To develop trust, we have to align our thoughts with the belief that wherever we are in our lives, our greatest good is being served. We may not know or understand how our current circumstances are serving our greatest good, but we will know how one day when the bigger picture reveals itself. Trust keeps us away from merely reacting to and judging our experiences. Trust helps us to become nonjudgmental observers in our lives. Trust teaches us that there is always a greater meaning of our experiences and circumstances. Life is not about meaningless suffering and useless struggle. Our job is work on discovering the meaning of our experiences instead of judging them as merely good or bad.
Are you ready to trust more? Are you ready to believe that there is more to your life than your circumstances? Are you ready to embrace the idea that every experience and circumstance you face is there to serve your highest good? Are you ready to accept that your greatest difficulties will work out to support you, even if the present is bleak? Embrace trust and believe that life is always working for you, even during your most challenging circumstances. Trust that you will move through uncertainty and come out of it stronger and wiser than before. Believe that there is always more to your life than you can see on the surface. See yourself as a person with lots of possibilities ahead, even if the immediate future does not present them. Know without a doubt that life is always supporting you equally during the joyous and difficult times. Be open and curious about all the powerful, miraculous ways that life will support your highest good instead of fearing the worse.
